This is the Page of TWiki installations and clones . Please add yourself to the list in case you installed TWiki on your server. (Let us also know even if your installation is behind a firewall.) Also, I would appreciate if you add a PoweredByTWikiLogo on your TWiki home page in case you installed TWiki on a publicly accessible server. Still need to convince your co-workers? At a later point, if your deployment of TWiki has been successful, we would very much appreciate if you could support the TWiki community by writing a TWikiSuccessStory. This helps in promoting the platform, which in turn will result in a better product.

In addition, I have successfully installed it on the server http://bcs-oops.org.uk/ for use as a discussion forum and repository for the Object Oriented specialist group of the British Computer Society. Remarkably, it was possible to use this system with very few tweaks on an ISP's shared Linux server (we use nomonthlyfees.com: please mention us if you sign up for an account yourself!). Just finishing major changes before bigger rollout - AttachmentsUnderRevisionControl, RenameTopic part of TWikiReleaseSpring2001. Also new look for broader acceptance and Certificate/LDAP integration so no register or username/passwords required. TWiki has impressed many people in my IT department - being used for knowledege mangaement, document mangaement, collaboration and is replacing much simpler Java one based on early Wiki.
• 13 Jul 2001 : Installed at Inktomi by MichaelSparks - originally installed in Jun 2000 in Tech Support UK, as a local shared scratchpad, use & content grew until being used by all of UK Tech Support, then migrating in use to other groups worldwide for keeping track of anything & anything relevant to those groups. Currently have 4 (known) installed locations with about a dozen webs, and are in the process of combining these in a seamless fashion to form a single DistributedTwiki . Various standard Twiki plugins used (TWikiDrawPlugin, SmiliesPlugin, CalendarPlugin, etc) and also a local standard plugin created to be able to render specialised links to internal bug tracking, case tracking systems in addition to things like RFCs etc. Drop down boxes remade everynight so that all topics on a web are 1 click away from current page. All authenticated centrally. Single shared codebase, extra rollout procedures created making new installations quick and simple - caused by implementing idea in DataAndCodeSeparation, and use of a generalised SQL query/render engine designed to be integrated more fully as a Twiki Addon. (e.g. allows new queries without new code, Twiki style result templates - making Twiki an instant internal hit by replacing slow fat client systems with simpler, easier Twiki based front end thin clients. (i.e. it caused a fast "I Want One Of Those" effect)
• 17 July 2001: CharlesShapiro set up a private twiki for informal technical documentation as we develop our new product at numethods .
• 28 July 2001: Some customisation by RichardDonkin of March 2001 beta for intranet use at Orchestream, including links to bug-tracking system, improved external link syntax (EasierExternalLinking), installing TWiki.TWikiDrawPlugin, bug fixes to InterwikiPlugin (InterWikiGreedy), etc.
• 1 Sep 2001: Installed at CIMEC-INTEC (Santa Fe, Argentina). http://minerva.arcride.edu.ar/twiki/ We have a Beowulf cluster and develop a GPL Finite Element code (http://minerva.arcride.edu.ar/petscfem) and plan to document in with TWiki for our intranet to give documentation to users for the use of the cluster and the code.
