Istanbul Release is the code name for the TWiki-5.1 Release that has been released on 2011-08-17. This release supersedes the HelsinkiRelease (TWikiRelease05x00), and has been superseded by the JerusalemRelease.

Istanbul Release Meetings

Release Focus

The TWikiMission specifies the overall purpose of the project.

The release focus is aligned with our TWikiRoadMap, as discussed in IstanbulReleaseMeeting2010x06x07:

1. Usability enhancements:

   • Web based admin functionality for users, groups, webs, topics
2. Good out of box experience, making it easier for non-sysadmins to install/update twiki
