Who am I?
I've been using TWiki for several years now both at work and at a website I run for the Worcester Area Pilots Association.
What do I want?
write access to
SVN for the following branches:
twikiplugins
What can I do?
My primary career is in data network design, however I do some occasional minor development. In my distant past I did do some development in IBM mainframe systems and assembly language and quite a bit of mainframe Database design. I was also a team member of the Polarbar java mailer and did some development on that for several years. That was all CVS based so I'm somewhat familiar with source management systems.
Why do I want to do it?
Mainly fixing issues I've encountered in my use of TWiki. I've got a couple of things underway.
- Bugs.Item5187
- Add DirectedGraphPlugin support to the FamilyTreePlugin. I've already attached some draft code to the Bug.
- Bugs.Item5212
- Fix up a number of issues in the DirectedGraphPlugin That's mostly complete as well.
There are also a few other minor tweaks here and there that I'd like to do.
Other Notes:
I do have some questions:
- Is there any code review that should be done prior to a check-in?
- Also I'm primarily set up for Linux. So someone to review for Windows compatibility would be helpful.
- What about adding existing plugins to SVN? I have one very minor change I'd like to make to the FootNotePlugin. But it's not in SVN - is it okay to add it?
Thanks

Questions and Comments:
Heya George,
I've added you to the commiters list for twikiplugins - Welcome
Code reviews: not really, though as all commits require a Bug report, and an email is generated with diffs, there are a few of us core developers that do look at some of the commits.
Windows - is always hard, as are all the other non-linux platforms.
adding existing Plugins - its a good idea to email the original author first, but generally, its worth doing.

Thanks all... I'll probably ask for advice on TWiki-dev before I go as far as to commit anything. I'm gac410 on IRC.
