- (rhk) Home / DHTML & CSS / Comprehensive guide to .htaccess/ Intro; ; - despite a few things that appear like errors to me (calling the .htaccess the file extension (instead of the name of a hidden file), this looks like a fairly useful tutorial. I've only glanced at the first two pages (of possibly 10?).
- (rhk) htpassword tutorial; ; - this focuses more directly on authentication so might be appropriate to list under that topic as well -- just starting to read but looks promising
- (rhk) .htaccess tips - BETA; ; - This may (should) eventually have quite a few specific "tips" (sample .htaccess files to accomplish specific tasks). The last time I viewed it (18 Jan 2003) those included:
- prevent people from hotlinking your stuff
- prevent downloaders/rippers to download your files
- others in the user comments
