Wiki Learn

Welcome to the home of WikiLearn.

This is a temporary home for WikiLearn, a web-based collaboration area for learning about Open Source and Free Software programming and related topics.

Note that this site is intended to be more amenable to searching and then reading on specific (found) subjects, rather than reading this entire site in any systematic way. (On some subjects there is more than one page, and reading all or several of those pages may be useful.) One way to browse these pages is by viewing WebChanges and then following links that pique your interest.

I just checked the statistics for May (2004), and see something like 3417 hits on this page. Is there something I don't know?

PS: In case you're wondering why I've been less active for the last six months or so, there are several reasons, but the big one is that I'm doing more of my information collection with my "off line wiki workalike". I welcome the participation of anybody on WikiLearn, particularly as such participation may prompt my own renewed participation, especially as an "editor" rather than a content contributor. I'm (fairly) good (I think) at reading things that other people write and finding ways to improve them — I'm not nearly as good (that's an understatement) at writing my own content from scratch (although, when I get the ambition and let my stuff sit long enough, I can sometimes go back and edit my own stuff to advantage).

Notes:

  • You are currently in the Wikilearn web. The color code for this web is this background, so you know where you are.
  • If you are not familiar with the TWiki collaboration platform, please visit WelcomeGuest first.

Please do not attach unrelated (or any) files on this page. If you need a place to attach a file for any reason either try the Sandbox web or tell me what you want to attach and why. -- RandyKramer - 03 Feb 2004

Note: This web is now excluded from a "search all webs" search, e.g. it is not listed in the web list. This is because the Wikilearn web is not focused on TWiki development/doc/support. I hope this does not distract your learning, please continue to use this web as usual! -- PTh - 29 Jan 2005
