Question
Hi,
I was looking for a way to show in my Twiki who is currently logged in. I have seen in another Support Topic (
ShowOnlineUsers) the suggestion to use the
UserInfoPlugin plugin. I have tried to install it (directly from the web: configure -> plugins -> find more extensions ...) but I get the following error:
UserInfoPlugin_installer.pl data/ data/TWiki/ data/TWiki/UserInfoPlugin.txt lib/ lib/TWiki/ lib/TWiki/Plugins/ lib/TWiki/Plugins/UserInfoPlugin/ lib/TWiki/Plugins/UserInfoPlugin/Core.pm lib/TWiki/Plugins/UserInfoPlugin.pm tar failed: Illegal seek Failed to unpack archive /tmp/py4bD9PVR6.tgz
Content-type: text/html
Software error:
Use of uninitialized value in pattern match (m//) at /opt/twiki/lib/TWiki/Configure/UIs/EXTEND.pm line 227.
And nothing is installed.
I do not know perl. Is it a plugin bug? is it a problem with my config? Could you please help me to fix the problem? Or do you have another suggestion how to show the currently logged in users?
Thanks.

If you answer a question - or someone answered one of your questions - please remember to edit the page and set the status to answered. The status selector is below the edit box.
I have tried to install it by hand:
- download in $TWIKIHOME
- unzip UserInfoPlugin.zip
- in configure "Enable"
- changed manually the rights of the installed files
Then I have tested:
%NRUSERS% , %NRLASTVISITORS% , %LASTVISITORS% , %NEWUSERS%
do work.
%VISITORS% , %NRVISITORS%
which is the reason for using the plugin, does not work: no matter how many users logged in the VISITORS list is empty and NRVISITORS is 0.
Any idea?
