Question

I am very new to both TWiki and Linux, so sorry when there are things rather obviously wrong, but I might just not have gotten them... The testenv gives me the following warning only when running it: "$scriptUrlPath: /twiki/bin

Note
This must match the 'cgi-bin' part of the URL used to access the TWiki cgi-bin directory.
Warning
This does not match REQUEST_URI."
Nevertheless the start page of my TWiki works fine. But if I am to start any page I receive an Error 404: Requested URL not found on this server." The error.log of the apache server says: "script not found or unable to stat: /opt/twiki/bin/view.pl, referer: http://localhost/bin/view" So what did I configure wrong? Thanks! JanPhilippBlenk

Answer

Did you set $scriptSuffix = ".pl" in the TWiki.cfg file? If so, try setting it back to "".

Could you please attach the HTML output of testenv to this page, and the TWiki.cfg file, to help diagnose this?

Since this was one of those the-evening-before-the-presentation-everything brakes down-things I decided to start it all over again, even re-installing Linux. Afterwards everything worked out fine and the TWiki pages now work!
