Question

I would like to redirect users to a web where they have access to after loging in. This seems to be a daunting task, but I may not be thinking about it correctly. I did not see anything relating to this question in the answered questions section. Is this possible without code change?

Environment

TWiki version: 4.0.5

Server OS: Debian Etch 4.1
Web server: Apache 2.2.4
Perl version: 5.8.8

Answer

ALERT! If you answer a question - or someone answered one of your questions - please remember to edit the page and set the status to answered. The status selector is below the edit box.

You can use RedirectPlugin:

  • Restrict all webs except for admins
  • Set a variable HOME in each users's topic, for example:
    • Set HOME = ZakaiWeb
  • Redirect logins to Main.WebHome
  • In that topic write %REDIRECT{%HOME%}%

That actually does not work. These users do not have access to the main web, but they do have access to a web. The login gave a login denied error when I removed their access to the main web. I did add the above to their users topic/page. Did I miss a step?
