Question

I have gone through the documentation and can't figure this out!

All our users have a cookie set called "intrauserid", which is the userid on the corporate Intranet. Is there a way I can map the value of this cookie to a TWikiUser, so as long as my users are logged in to our Intranet they automatically get logged in to the Wiki. I don't want to mess with the apache login etc.

Environment

TWiki version: TWikiRelease04x01x02
TWiki plugins: DefaultPlugin, EmptyPlugin, InterwikiPlugin
Server OS: HP Tru64
Web server: Apache 2.2.3
Perl version: 5.8
Client OS: XP
Web Browser: IE7
Categories: Authentication

Terry,

to do this, you will need to write some code. specifically, a LoginHandler - though a very trivial one, that inherits from TemplateLogin. I have similar code lying around somewhere - email me if you need help.

Seems to be answered...

except that sven only alludes to solutions instead of posting anything. It would be nice to find some sort of guide for doing exactly this.
