Question

I'm trying to add TreePlugin to a TWiki which lists this as its version:

This site is running TWiki version 02 Sep 2004 $Rev: 1742 $, Plugin API version 1.025

I've been told this is TWiki version 3 aka Cairo. It's an existing, in-use installation that I'm not very familiar with (nor am I very familiar with TWiki).

According to documentation, I should be able to just unpack the .zip or .tar into the twiki tree and it should work, but it's still ignoring the %TREE{ macro, and my TWiki/InstalledPlugins page doesn't list it, so it somehow doesn't see the plugin. The .pm file is in lib/TWiki/Plugins, and I've chowned all files to the same userid as the rest of the TWiki's files.

I see some tantalizing references to a variable called ACTIVEPLUGINS (or ACTIVATEDPLUGINS). When I query the variable it lists several plugins, but not TreePlugin. I don't know how to change that.

Any idea what I need to do to enable this plugin?
