Question

Does anyone know what could be causing the following? After edit and save of an %ACTION%, part of the containing topic's content is deleted.

This only seems to happen when the topic includes certain non alpha-numeric text such as another %ACTION% or %ACTIONSEARCH% or a verbatim tag or quote characters. It also seems that all the containing topic's content past the non alphanum chars is deleted.

WOOO HOOO!

Got it! I just CPAN'd the latest CGI.pm and the problem went away! The tip-off was the solution to the LocalSite.cfg NameFilter issue (BugInConfigFile). You better put that one someplace and make sure it gets some publicity.

Thanks Joshua; what rev of CGI did you have before? I use CGI 3.17. If have found in the past that 2.93 had problems, but that's the only known bad...

(I added this question to the FAQ)

Our CGI.pm is version 3.00.
