Question
Guys, the support web is pretty cool. Is there any kind of plugin (similar to the blog plugin that lets us create blogs on the fly) that can be installed to generate the support web? Or do we have to create one on our own?

Answer
If you answer a question - or someone answered one of your questions - please remember to edit the page and set the status to answered. The status selector is below the edit box.
TWiki's Support web is just a "web", without any special code. So yes, if you want a support web on your own installation, you'd have to create your own. But of course you can pick the interesting topics, like for example
AskedQuestions, copy the "source code" to your TWiki, and adapt it to your needs.
If you feel something like the Support web should be packaged as an application, please add it to the section "Wanted Applications" in
Codev.TWikiApplication. Maybe someone already has done it, and I'm just unable to find where...

The
EngineRoom lists all topics you need.

Hey guys, thanks a ton for answering. I found out about the
comment plugin. With just
%COMMENT%, we are able to do a lot
How can the status drop down be added to a topic like you have here?

Guest - take a look at
TWikiForms - it is a fairly large topic, but read around a bit, tinker, and you'll probably find that using nifty little form-based utilities is an easy thing to do. You need to create a form topic, mark it in your preferences as an attachable form, and then attach it to a useful topic.
On packaging the support web, then I've been looking around with the same thought in mind. I added the entry under Wanted Applications, and looked around to see how much is involved in actually trying to do it. Looks like formally bundling up
TWikiApplications is still undergoing some discussion though.

The status dropdown box in the support web is just another customization of the comment plugin, confirming the observation that with
%COMMENT% many things are possible.
In support web topics, the comment reads:
%<nop>COMMENT{type="supportquery"}%
The
supportquery type is defined in CommentPlugin's customization area,
UserCommentsTemplate. For sake of simplicity, let me simply copy the cookbook section from the
engine room:

That's awesome

Thanks a lot guys. I will look into it. During free time, I will also try to package the support app (similar to
blog plugin & make it available in Codev.

Thanks for offering to package it. If you do, please create an
AddOnPackage in the Plugins web. See
AddOnPackageHowTo.
