Question

We are setting up a wiki with multiple webs to cater for different clients.

I can not see a way to remove the Users and Groups links from the sidebar which is important as we do not want clients to be able to view the any details of other clients.

I tried removing access to the Main web for our clients' groups but this didn't work as they were no longer able to access anything at all.

Any help would be great as I can't find any reference as to how to do this in either the documentation or on this site.

Thanks in advance,

Simon

Answer

ALERT! If you answer a question - or someone answered one of your questions - please remember to edit the page and set the status to answered. The status selector is below the edit box.

Edit your Main/WebLeftBar topic and remove the two lines that link to the User and Group topics. That at least gets them out of the menu even though they remain accessible via other paths.

If you follow the suggestions and linked documentation from HowToRestrictWebView, you should be able to completely hide or restrict the Main web from your users. I have not tried doing that, however.'
