Question

Hi,

I Installed Twiki and it creates the following default Webs: 1)TWiki 2)Main 3)SandBox

I just want the users to access only the Main Web and not the TWiki web. I tried to restrict the view of TWiki to TWikiAdminGroup ... but then this prevents users to make an account. Is there a way that the users can only access MAIN web and also create an account there.

Thanks

ALERT! If you answer a question - or someone answered one of your questions - please remember to edit the page and set the status to answered. The status selector is below the edit box.

Apurva, please see TWikiAccessControl for how to set your access preferences in the %WEB%.WebPreferences topic. See DakarPreferenceModel for how all other preferences are handled (apart from TWikiAccessControl)

If you want to hide the TWiki web: You can copy the registration topic to your Main web. Copy also some key help topics.

If you do hide the TWiki web, then be prepared for high maintenance in the future. For a quick example, the TagMePlugin is a plugin that often refers users to pages in the TWiki web (TagMeViewAllTags, TagMeSearch, etc). Other reasons would certainly appear over time for users to occassionally be sent to the TWiki web.
