"your number one source to find the Wiki engine that matches your or your company's needs."
This website compares features of some wikis. It has a fancy interface to pick a set of wikis to compare. This site is maintained by the
DokuWiki author Andreas Gohr, who previously had the wiki comparison table at
DokuWiki:compare
.

They have "most compares" and "most views" lists. TWiki is not in the top three. Please poke around the site and help get TWiki into the list

Just had a look at the
TWiki entry
, which is pretty accurate overall. However, we can't claim to have
UnicodeSupport really, since we only support UTF-8 URLs and don't recognise
WikiWords using Unicode letters, or do Unicode-aware case-conversion for searching, etc. There are Chinese and Japanese sites using UTF-8 as a site character set, which works OK since they are generally non-case-using languages even where they include alphabets, but that's not using any specific UTF-8 support. So we should really change that one to No or Partial.
- There is no "partial" to select. I will ask the admin of the site -- PTh
Will link this page from
TWikiAdvocacy04x00x00 as it looks like a good site to concentrate on.

TWiki already shines at WikiMatrix if you compare it with other wikis,
http://www.wikimatrix.org/show/TWiki
. To be a trailblazer and to reduce the number of red "No" icons it would be nice to fill these gaps:

We can add textile support using the
AliasPlugin. Btw, there's a
CmsMatrix as well
that lists TWiki:
http://www.cmsmatrix.org/matrix/cms-matrix?func=viewDetail&listingId=1169
.
At a first glimpse the information presented reveals to be very incomplete. TWiki does not
score so well there.

We have "Recent Visitors" using the
UserInfoPlugin.

TWiki moved up to the second spot on "most compared wikis", and is on top of the "most viewed wiki". Thanks guys!

As I see it, it's more or less the same as we shouldn't miss the chance to talk positively about TWiki if we see a discussion of wiki matters at slashdot (or any other forum).
As an example, Wikipedia is used as an reference source for a lot of people and TWiki could look a lot better / be more updated there (and in more languages).

Steffen, I always enjoy your uplifting approach. You have a good sense what community spirit is, and how to improve it.
The
TWikiAdvocacy topic and some topics linked from it have advocacy material that can be used to spread the word of TWiki. It is nice to see support for TWiki, such as in a
recent WikiMatrix forum post
. The TWiki community is naturally focused on technical things, maybe now and then some member could help out also on the advocacy side?

See
Ohloh, which is a site that tracks
OpenSource projects using source code control - I've updated the TWiki entry there.

For a long time, TWiki was #1 in the "most compares" list, and #2 in the "most views" list. It recently dropped by one slot each, with
MediaWiki moving up. Meaning, we need to do more PR for TWiki to offset the 800 pound gorilla.

Hi, I have noticed TWiki in the
WikiMatrix statistics, have checked the features, got quite impressed, and have installed TWiki for the first time. But I have also registered a "red mark" for the
RecentVisitors, although it is done (acc to your postings). What is the real status of this feature?
