View Template Modification
Pages would be easier to read if the view template is modified so that the title of a page (and the graphic) is below the line:
"TWiki . { Home | Welcome | Register | Changes | Index | Search | Go }"
As it is, the page title is dissociated from the text, especially in comparison to some other wikis. (See
http://www.clug.org/cgi/wiki.cgi?UsingFtpBeginner
.)
It might also help if the title were slightly larger. I've tried to improve the association of the page title to the text by repeating the title at the beginning of the text and separating it from the page "background" with a horizontal rule.
(Aside: If the page title were moved, the horizontal rule would probably no longer be appropriate, which is fine!)
Thanks for your consideration!
PS: If you make such a change, you may want to experiment a little. I would be happy to help by reviewing such experiments. (And, in the meantime, I'll try to learn
HTML.)
I recognize:
- This may be the wrong place for this suggestion.
- I know I can do this myself when / if I set up my own TWiki.

The TWiki user interface is designed so that:
- the first line shows where you are ( TWiki . Web . Topic ),
- the second colored line shows most important links of the current web,
- the colored line at the bottom shows links to manipulate the current topic.
This seems logical to many people, but UI design is always a matter of taste. I prefer to keep it the way it is. Anyone installing TWiki can easily customize the template files.

I had a bit of a play, and I was thinking that it would be good to allow the user to select the template they use to see a wiki... mostly because the current template is very difficult to use with Lynx (especially without a mouse). You have to tab through alot of non-content links befor you can go to where you want to read..
