Sometimes when saving a topic
RCS leaves around a file named ,Topic.txt, and from that moment on it complains because the ,v file cannot be updated ...
By deleting the file
RCS starts again to work properly.

This should be reflected in troubleshooting documentation.

Is there a way to move that file to the Trash web using a web interface or automatically. So without system administrator interference?

This should only happen if there is a catastrophic
RCS failure. There is no point in trying to catch or fix it in TWki, though it should be documented in troubleshooting documentations. Changed this to a
DocRequest.

it leaves around a file called
.Topic.txt, is that correct? how does this happen? can it be condition be recreated?
finally, when there's an
RCS error and
.Topic.txt file exists, why not simply retry the
RCS operating after deleting the
.Topic.txt file?
i also notice that the original bug report is ancient; can this still happen?

It can happen, but it is very rare. It's an
RCS problem; the solution is to drop
RCS and use something else to implement the store
Dropping this from
DakarRelease, since it's not reproducible. I don't think it's TWiki's problem.
