Feature Proposal: Save Metadata about topic changes.

Motivation

It would be helpful to have a summary of changes delivered as part of mailNotify.

Description and Documentation

If users were able to enter metadata about topic changes before saving them, ( Why the change was made, what was changed, etc.. ) that metadata could be included in change summaries. That would help me to digest the mailNotifications I receive and understand why people are making changes. I'm thinking something like Perforce and other SCMs use to describe changes.

Ah, I believe you are asking for a checkin comment feature that has been suggested before, AddCheckInComment.

Like with any new feature, usability is key. Every new feature may add additional complexity. I support this feature proposal, but I believe it should be made optional (e.g. switch to turn feature on/off), and when enabled, allow topic save with empty checkin comment.

If inclined, please define a clear spec (how edit screen looks like, how notification looks like), and help implement if you are a coder. See ReadmeFirst to get started.
