TWiki on Uniform Server
Uniform Server
is a WAMP package that allows you to run on any Windows based computer. It is also small and compact meaning you can convert a USB stick into a portable webserver. So has anyone tried running TWiki on this? What problems might anyone anticipate?
If it works, what a fabulous idea, your very own portable wiki!
WAMP= Windows, Apache, MySQL, Perl/PHP/Python

Hi Amanda,
I did something similar based on
Server2Go, see
TWiki2Go.
I had to patch some parts in TWiki to make it run with relative paths and search (grep in the sandbox) did not run out of the box.

I'm confused... what's this for?!
Is it for running an offline personal TWiki?
What could having this enable you to do?
(I realise these may be stupid questions, but I can cope with the jibes!)

Hi Jack,
we are using TWiki e.g. as an knowledge database on the intranet.
But lots of employees are not always connected to the corporate network. With an offline available copy of the intranet TWiki they are able to access the knowledge database (read only).
To get a personal TWiki
web is only a side effect.
