There is no tradition of TWiki Meet-Ups in Denmark, so how about we get one started?

The first TWiki meet-up coincides with a seminar at "Knowledge Denmark" on the subject of "Wikis as an Intranet": http://www.videndanmark.dk/Wiki-som-intranet.284.0.html

The seminar already features a presentation of a TWiki installation at http://www.neoconsult.dk/ (so there is even something obvious to discuss afterwards :-)):

Oplæg ved Knowledge Manager Per Skafte Hansen.

NeoConsults Wiki er baseret på OpenSource-systemet TWiki. Oplægget vil skitsere wikiens teknologiske grundlag sammen med design og opbygning af systemet. Hovedpunkter vil være:

• Hvorfor og hvordan blev Wiki’en etableret.
• Wiki’en som forum for virksom­hedens fælles aktiviteter.
• Wiki’en som arbejdsforum og -red­skab
• Den særlige anvendelse af Wiki’en ved introduktion af nye medarbejdere.
• Wiki’en som læringsplatform (hvis tiden tillader det).

NeoConsult er en IT-rådgivnings- og udviklingsvirksomhed med speciale inden for software til telekommunikation anvender en wiki som intranet.

Good move to organize a meetup alongside a related seminar. This gives the TWiki project more exposure, good TWikiAdvocacy!

If anybody can point to a useful location that would be most helpful, personally I have never visited Symbion before (there are information about the place at http://symbion.dk/ and http://www.konferencecenter.nu/).

The seminar is set to conclude at 17.00 - I suggest we meet in the "information area" / reception afterwards and see if we can find a quiet spot where we can hang out for an hour or two.

We enjoyed an interesting day in Copenhagen, learning about several wiki engines and many wiki patterns. As the seminar had several participants very familiar with traditional intranets, these were able to say that many of the important aspects of knowledge management are still true even though the application used is now a wiki. Aspects such as "ildsjæle" (fiery souls / WikiChampions) - Culture - Management - Strategy - Structure .. are all very important to the success or failure of a wiki.

Also we learned that wikis are like a reverse "roadside bomb" - if you drive by, you update!

After the seminar five of us met and talked more about wiki aspects and TWiki - and we got a chance to tell about the importance of showing up as a "TWiki customer" once in a while to give input to the development and release management processes.
