Bug: Signature format in edit page
In the edit window, the automatically generated signature that shows up below the editing box is a linked
WikiWord, not the whole text with the "Main" in front if it. As a result, when I cut/paste this into the editing window it doesn't produce a valid link in the page.
Test case
Fix record
Added
<nop> before
%WIKIUSERNAME% in
edit.tmpl.

I can't reproduce that. Are you using a clean copy of Beta? Does the
WebTopicEditTemplate exist in the TWiki web? It should have:
-- %WIKIUSERNAME% - %DATE%
I had the same problem with my local install. I've currently installed the latest beta (aug 25). The
WebTopicEditTemplate does exists and contains the mentioned data. Ehmm.... Correct me if I'm wrong, but the text on this page is only inserted in newly created pages?
I looked a bit further, and I noted the
edit.tmpl should be updated (i've checked that I've got the same version as on the CVS). Around line 55
the following can be found (note I've added the '#' sign after the first% in order prevent the variable to be expanded):
-- %#WIKIUSERNAME% - %#DATE%

<==

Prior to
%WIKIUSERNAME% add
<nop>, resulting in
-- <nop>%#WIKIUSERNAME% - %#DATE%

<==
