Who am I?
I'm a commercial software developer since 1991, am presently deploying TWiki as a beta test for my employer's new intranet site, and am pursuing my second Masters' Degree in Education. (The first was in Electrical and Computer Engineering.)
http://www.atypical.net/
has my blog and a few background stories, plus lists of other projects I work on, such as ircd-hybrid and musical analog synthesis.
What do I want?
write access to
SVN for the following branches:
DEVELOP
twikiplugins
What can I do?
Well, I've developed software both commercially and for OSS projects for many years. I was a senior tech sales engineer for Rational Software, during which time I taught courses in Requirements Management, OOAD, configuration management, development processes and the like. I also did a lot of hands-on support with large organizations enhancing their process on these activites.
Why do I want to do it?
I want to help clean up the code, file down the sharp edges, make the environment convenient both for traditional wiki-type users as well as corporate intranet/extranet type deployments.
Other Notes:
I have already contributed new documentation pages for 2 plugins (
LdapPlugin and
BugzillaLinkPlugin), and have worked for long periods of time
I'm methodical, and document every action I perform as a matter of course. (I do it mostly because I'm so forgetful!) I also worked for "new media" advertising firms in Japan for two years as a technical project manager, so I have familiarity with the business process that surrounds deploying a new website. I think much documentation can be written here , especially towards helping people "get a leg up" with the new Dakar release.
Topics I have contributed to.
Questions and Comments:
I have enabled your commit access to
http://svn.twiki.org/svn/twiki/branches/DEVELOP/twikiplugins
enjoy

and please be aware that we will be branching the twikiplugins with the
DakarRelease soonish
we like to have some idea of what you're thinking of doing in DEVELOP, and some experience working with you and your code, so should we use twikiplugins, patches, bugs and IRC as audition material?
