HorstEsser Would Like to Check-in
Who am I?
I'm new to TWiki. While using it, I found some minor but useful improvements. I've - as purposed by
PeterThoeny - filed some feature requests (see below). I'm now unsure about the likelihood that one of the experienced TWiki developers decides to commit himself to implementing these. I hope that somebody do so, because experienced TWiki developers better know the workflow and what to take into account, when doing a change. But if nobody do so, I want to be prepared to implement the feature requests myself.
What do I want?
write access to
SVN for the following branches:
Core
twikiplugins
What can I do?
I'm IT professional and software developer since 1990, now focused on C#, using perl as as language for getting my job done.
Why do I want to do it?
Implementing these feature requests if nobody else do so:
FormsShouldEvaluateTheSizeField
SpreadSheetPluginNopFunctionEnhancement
ImplementBuildWikiWordFunction
ReplaceParameterForIncludeVariable

Thanks for providing me access. A said I'm new to TWiki. And I don't want to make any mistake. So what is the next step? Should I wait for some experienced TWiki developer to commit himself to implementing my feature requests? Or should I commit myself right now?

I've commit myself to implementing 3 of 4 of my feature requests. Now I've to wait for 14 days (14 days rule), right?

Cool, thank you!
Waiting for 14 days since commit date is basically correct. If no one raises a concern it means green light to check it in after 14 days.
We have not formalized yet, but some features requests can be considered "no brainers", e.g. very small enhancements or those that are on the borderline between bug and feature can be implemented without waiting for 14 days. I'll take some time later to review your feature proposals.
Extensions do not fall under the 14 day rule, so you could go ahead now with the plugin.
SubversionReadme has the details on how to get started with
SVN for TWiki development.

Hello Peter, I've send you an email with some question about the development process. Did you receive it?
I also need some additional permissions. See
