BizWiki / RapidWiki / CustomerVision
"CustomerVision delivers the only enterprise-ready Wiki solution for companies that need real-time collaboration to rapidly foster the creation of shareable knowledge, repeatable business processes and faster problem solving skills for employees and partners. CustomerVision's BizWiki combines the proven benefits of web content management with innovative, emerging technologies such as wikis, weblogs and RSS."
Promises more than they disclose? Has a "
The Enterprise Wiki"-approach, much like the one of
ETouchSamePage.
Tries to group current wikis at
http://www.imakenews.com/customervision/e_article000495794.cfm?x=b11,0,w
(actually somewhat interesting):
- TWiki has become an "Open Source Wiki" (".. these wikis are often very technically oriented. Many of these open source wikis work best in the hands of someone who is comfortable with complex scripting and naming conventions.")
- JotSpot has become a "Consumer Wiki" ("These are good for small groups whether they are ad hoc public groups or a small team within a larger organization").
- The only real Enterprise Wikis "left", according to their definition, are Socialtext (http://www.socialtext.com/
) and CustomerVision.
Technology is never mentioned, but looks like it is
.asp pages that are served.

Discussion
Trying to identify segments are interesting. But until they uncover a bit more of their enterprise functionality I allow myself to have my own idea to which segment
BizWiki belongs.
But if what the customers are looking for in an enterprise wiki is not a technical solution, but more of an implementation/solution partner (someone to throw their money at) I'm sure they are able, though. Does anyone have a feeling if the market is there yet?
