SID-01085: Wiki password problem

Status: Answered Answered TWiki version: 5.0.1 Perl version: 5.10
Category: CategoryAuthentication Server OS: Debian Lenny Last update: 15 years ago

I have tested twiki 4.2 to 5.0.1 and they have the ability to allow someone to pad their password with extra data. For example, if my password is bigbozo then I can enter bigbozooooooooooo and it will work. Is this by design or is it a bug?

Thanks for any answer,

Discussion and Answer

I just checked here on twiki.org, I can't reproduce this. What kind of LoginManager and PasswordManager do you use?

-- PeterThoeny - 2011-01-26

I am using TWiki::LogingManager::TemplateLogin and TWiki::Users::HtPasswdUser.

Thanks for quick answer,
