When I run
bin/statistics, certain webs were causing the following error:
Unsuccessful stat on filename containing newline at {full_server_path}/lib/TWiki/Store/RcsFile.pm line 417.
As I took apart each web one by one, I found the following character combination used to create a table was the culprit. Note that the problem only happened when the table contains more than one row:
When this table was removed, or when the heading columns were placed in this order, the report went away:
I also noticed that I wasn't getting notifications because of the
RcsFile crash.
Note: The original table actually had 4 columns and 2 rows, but I whittled the problem area down to this 2 x 2 segment and reproduced the problem.
I thought this was a new problem since we upgraded to 4.3.2 this month. However, I checked our server logs and we experienced the same problem with 4.0.4.
Any suggestions?

Discussion and Answer
this sounds very strange problem, is it possible for you to tar, gz the topics file and attach them to this issue topic (SID-00676) which has the problematic table/tables.
I could not recreate this issue on my development environments.

Certainly. I created a topic and ensured that it crashes
RcsFile.pm. I've attached it to this topic.
Here's another clue:
RCS: /usr/bin/rlog -h %FILENAME|F% of .../Minutes/WebStatistics.txt,v failed: at /var/www/html_static/twiki432/lib/TWiki/Store/RcsWrap.pm line 276.

I should also add that when I use <b> </b> tags instead of the boldface TML (*) the problem goes away as well.

@SopanShewale
: Have you had any success replicating the error based on the files I attached? I'd hate to close this issue without at least an understanding of the root cause.
Thanks!
