TWiki Success Story of InnovASIC

innovASIC is a fabless semiconductor company. We have been developing detailed engineering and management processes for some time and were looking for a better way to deploy/maintain them. After looking at several web-based options I installed TWiki and was able to transfer our existing process documentation from Microsoft Word to TWiki syntax very quickly. The attachment feature was especially helpful for forms/etc.

As the processes were changed and modified to take better advantage of the web-based interface TWiki proved to be a great advantage. The version control and access control features are critical. Automated notification of process changes is another big plus.

The next major effort utilizing TWiki was using it to maintain the project database for a new development. It is used for requirements management, design documentation, test development, etc. With the powerful forms and search features, we have a fully functional, flexible, project database solution. The ability to build dynamic tables from searches with spreadsheet functions makes status reporting a snap.

We look forward to migrating more of our management data from other tools to TWiki (I just need to find the time).

I'd like to thank the core team for an excellent product and the rest of the community for their advice, plugins, etc.
