Notes
From Linc Fessenden of the LVLUG:
Well, let me tell you what it's like installing Netscape on NetBSD..
cd /usr/pkgsrc/www/netscape
make
make install
NetBSD will ftp the necessary source files directly to your computer,
search for package dependancies, install the dependant packages, and then
compile Netscape specifically for your machine.
The other way to do it with NetBSD is to go to their binary package site
on the net and just download the binary package and install it with a:
pkg_add packagename.tgz
Now it's significantly faster just grabbin the binary packages, but they
don't grab any necessary dependant packages (but it will check for them
and tell you what you need. It is a lot of fun to watch them compile
though
