- CompuServe developed a better standard of charging for Internet Services - about $20 per month for unlimited access. (AOL eventually bought this out)
- The other major Internet Service Provider was Prodigy, originally owned by IBM and Sears and later became independent. This ISP also charged about $20 per month for unlimited access.
- There are now 20,000,000 hosts/nodes on the Internet.
- There are now about 600,000 Web Sites to browse.
