The CFK Distro Project is based off of Vector Linux. I hope to clean up some of the scripts for the install, remove some cruft, clarify some of the wording, and target the initial set up for what we want it to do.
I want to also include the packages we have choosen for our default installation so that the install process becomes a once and done thing: Put the disc in and essentially all you need to do is create the cfk user and assign passwords.
Ideally, I would like to give this back to the Vector community as a Vector based distribution aligned straight at kids and educational institutions. But that is a bit off right now.
So far my tasks have been:
- Create an install script see the new script to automate our processes after the vector install; to be used in conjunction with the cfk packages disc.
- Pull apart the vector root disk and begin weeding through the scripts
- Poke through the base and xf421 tar balls to see how the layout is.
