Question

I recently installed the December, 2001 version of TWiki on a private LAN and copied some pages from twiki.org that use the %ENDCOLOR% syntax (example: Wikilearn.CsicOutline). It (%ENDCOLOR%) doesn't work on my home LAN -- I presume I need a plugin or patch -- can anybody tell me which one?

  • TWiki version: December, 2001
  • Web server: Apache
  • Server OS: Mandrake 7.2
  • Web browser: Mozilla, IE
  • Client OS: Mandrake 9.0, Windows 95

Answer

Color variables and %ENDCOLOR% are defined in TWikiPreferences. The colors are defined in the latest TWikiBetaRelease, but not in TWikiRelease01Dec2001. You can copy the color variable settings from http://TWiki.org/cgi-bin/view/TWiki/TWikiPreferences?raw=on

Thanks, exactly what I needed. BTW, just for the record, the problem was that %ENDCOLOR% (and various %<COLOR>% variables) showed up as words, and did not affect the colors.
