Question
. I've problems with the WebSearch. There is no Search Result on any inquiry. By clicking the Index topic it's the same problem. I think I may have forgotten to set a variable or system parameter, but after several fruitless hours searching, I am no closer to finding what I am upposed to be configuring.... can anybody point me in the right direction please?
- TWiki version: 13. Nov 2000

Answer
That is an indication that TWiki can't
egrep and
fgrep on your system. Check the
$egrepCmd and
$fgrepCmd variables in
twiki/bin/wikicfg.pm.

I have a similar but more restricted problem
- TWiki version: September 2001
- Web server: Apache 1.3.14
- Server OS: Windows NT4.0 Workstation
Search works fine, but index fails. It seems to me that it could have to do something with piping and redirecting. Every command that I run that does some redirecting fails on my machine. Could this be an Apache problem?
The same goes for the ci command. diff can be found (I think) but things simply don´t work. Tried almost everything: releasing locks, switching user under which Apache runs.
Any hints, we don´t have any Linux boxes available.
