Question

On one of the webs of my TWiki I get the following result for the heading for the Web Changes topic:

<div class="twikiSearchResultsHeader" style="background-color:#9E9E70 ">Results from Australia web

There is no rendered column headings and no background colour as normal. The topic listing turns up OK.

I can't see anything obvious. The include statement is the same for all the other webs (including webs created specifically for my TWiki), which webs display their web changes pages correctly.

The error also means that for a Web Search that the results for the misbehaving web renders over the top of the left side bar. The Web Preferences topic for the relevant web doesn't seem to have anything odd in it.

I've had this problem since that particular web was created (and have just had the time to get into sorting it out). The problem has transferred over to another web I cloned off the original misbehaving web.

The problem occurs in both Firefox and IE.

Here's a bit of a clue. Looking at the source code, through the browser, for the web changes page of the misbehaving web shows the HTML delimiters as being rendered as &lt; and &gt; whilst the OK webs show the delimiters as rendering properly as the greater than and less than symbols. This must be the problem I would think. But what file do I need to get to modify this (presumably at server level)?

I'm off on holidays so had to solve this quickly. Went through as many files as seemed relevant to see if I could work it out. No joy. So ended up transferring all files from the misbehaving webs except for the WebChanges WebSearch and WebPreferences topics; created in turn a dummy web for each, transferred behaving files into them and was able to then use "fresh" WebChanges, WebSearch and WebPreferences topics; deleted the misbehaving webs in turn and renamed the dummy webs to the old web names. Worked perfectly. Long way around but in circumstances a fix that worked. My feeling is that it was something in the WebPreferences topic that was causing the problem but b.....ed (an aussieism) if I could find it.
