Question
Not sure what has happened in the past few days, but in my
FireFox browser the left menu bar on twiki.org does not begin until the bottom of the page.
In IE, it displays as it should.

What pages? Any? What browser version?

The problem is seen on the entire twiki.org site. So it is probably skin related.
Problem web browser is
FireFox Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.4) Gecko/20060508 Firefox/1.5.0.4
Everything is displayed correctly from Internet Explorer 6.0
See attachment for screenshot of the problem.

Do you see any javascript/css errors?
--
ArthurClemens - 17 Jul 2006
Nope. No errors at all. I haven't changed anything in my browser or on my machine, but noticed that twiki.org began to behave this way (see attachment) only within the previous 2 - 3 days.

It could have to do with the illegal css syntax introduced by the Google search (style definition outside of the header). Could you try out
Sandbox.WebHome to see if the problem has gone there?

Same problem in
Sandbox
I can work with it like this but I wonder if I'm the only person seeing this prob. Could someone else verify ?
I've got a twiki sales pitch to make in the coming days, so I'll be sure to use IE until we get Firefox figured out.

Yes, I see it intermittantly.

We've fixed a html validation issue with the tags dropdown. Any changes now?

ArthurClemens - 18 Jul 2006
For me, things are still the same. The web left bar begins at the bottom of the page ..

Keith, do you see the same at
my test site
?
--
ArthurClemens - 19 Jul 2006
No, your test site is working correctly. So it must be something special at
twiki.org

Thanks for the feedback so far. Trying to pin this down.
Let's try without tags:
NoTagsTest
(or any page with url suffix
?skin=pattern)

Keith, did you try a CTRL-F5 in your firefox? I think this problem was due to locally cached (css?) files last time the problem was widespread.
Just wanted to state the obvious as I didn't see this explicitely in the thread - please do continue nailing this one down

CTRL-F5 has refreshed the locally cached css and now I can see clearly again !!
