In the Pattern skin, the user can have a customized
LeftBar. I have created one for myself, and in researching how to get it to appear in the top bar, I came across
SID-00903, which seemed to imply that user
LeftBars would be automatically integrated into the top bar. However, this seems not to be the case. I have created a topic
AaronLoessbergZahlLeftBar on my TWiki server, and while it appears correctly in the Pattern skin, it does not appear at all in the
TopMenuSkin.
Is there any way to get global (across all webs), per-user top menus, as defined by the user?

Discussion and Answer
This was the case only in the beginning of the
TopMenuSkin. The Account pulldown now shows bookmarks defined in FirstLastnameBookmarks. Add new bookmark items using the "Bookmark this page..." link in the Account pulldown.

Yes, the bookmarks serve this need.
