SID-01356: Problem with mail

I have to reset the password for a user of my twiki. I never used the mail functionality, but I think it is necessary if a password has to be reset. I tried to set the mail in the Configure panel, but the reset password doesn't work. When I reset the password I get the error message:

ERROR Can't send mail using Net::SMTP. Can't connect to 'smtp.interway.ch' at /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.8/CGI/Carp.pm line 314. Too many failures sending mail %PARAM2% %PARAM3% %PARAM4%

Can you please guide me through this process? Thanks

Actually I made a test with my account before resetting the password for the other user. The mail was not sent because of the error, but now I realized that my password was changed, but I don't know it any more! How can I solve this problem? Thanks.

Login as admin with the password of configure. As an admin you can reset and set password for other users.
