Question

Hello!

I am very new to Twiki. I installed it and I think it is a great tool for our small projekt. But the testenv script always tells me:

Not used for this script (mod_perl not loaded into Apache)

User: wwwrun

Note: Your CGI scripts are executing as this user.

Warning: Since your CGI script is not running as user nobody, you need to change the locks in the *,v RCS files of the TWiki distribution from nobody to wwwrun. Otherwise, changes to topics will not be logged by RCS.

Fix: If needed, relock all the rcs files to user wwwrun

The "fix" link does not work, but it seems that a lot of users had this problem and posted a solution. The most people recommended to remove all the RCS version "*,v" files, so that they are recreated with the correct lock later.

Unfortunately this does not work, the testenv generates the same error.

Has anybody an idea, what I have made wrong?

Greetings to all the Twiki users.

Stefan

Answer

Sadly testenv isn't very smart, and generates that warning even if all your locks are correct. Unless you have other errors appearing, you can ignore it.
