Question
- We assigned an owner to each topic.
- Every owner should get a mail notification if somebody changed a topic that he owns.
- I tried to add the result of a search to WebNotify of a web but I do not get a mail.
- My first question: Am I allowed to add a search result to WebNotify or does TWiki first evaluate the notifier page and afterwards the page (perhaps only if the page is shown in a browser) ?
- My second question: How can I use the notifier directly, perhaps by adding a subscibe button to every page?
Thanks.

Answer
If you answer a question - or someone answered one of your questions - please remember to edit the page and set the status to answered. The status selector is below the edit box.
I would guess that the notifier doesn't evaluate searches, but I honestly don't know.
You could try

Thanks for your help. Perhaps I have to write my own notifier that executes the search. But good to know that there exists a subscribe mechanism as plugin.

Yesterday I found out that I can use the RSS Feed mechanism. Exactly what I need. Just for information if somebody else gets the same problem.

On "assigning an owner to each topic": This is one way of getting started, but please remember that it is not very wiki-like. After your team is getting used to working in a wiki you will discover that content is owned by the group.

In general, you are right. But we want that every topic is owned by somebody who is responsible for the content or the attached document in order to keep it up to date. We will see how it will work.
