Question

We have two TWiki instances on a box - each on a virtual server. We'd like users of the employee TWiki at emp.my.com to be able to read and edit the customer TWiki at cust.my.com but block customers from the employee site. Can employess view both sites by syncing their employee login from emp.my.com to cust.my.com

We also want to use InterWikis style linking so making it transparent to the user would be a great help.

Thanks.

Environment

TWiki version: TWikiRelease04Sep2004
TWiki plugins: DefaultPlugin, EmptyPlugin, InterwikiPlugin
Server OS: Linux
Web server: Apache
Perl version: Unknown
Client OS: N/A
Web Browser: N/A
Categories: Authentication

Answer

ALERT! If you answer a question - or someone answered one of your questions - please remember to edit the page and set the status to answered. The status selector is below the edit box.

You should be able to paste the content of the .htpasswd and TWikiUsers topic on emp.my.com to the corresponding files in cust.my.com. That's probably the simplest approach, though not fully transparent (will require two logins for emps visiting emp and then cust)
