Question

Any tips to share regarding the set up of Iso Document Approval Process using Twiki?

Environment

TWiki version: Sept 1, 2004
TWiki plugins:
Server OS: linux
Web server: apache 1
Perl version:
Client OS: Windows
Web Browser: IE
Categories:

I tried to implement the suggestions outlined in CreatingISOdocumentation. However, I was not successful to implement this particular step:

  • The Approve link switches the State form field to Approved :
    • It looks like this: Approved
    • This uses the fact that any form field can be set with URL parameters

I find that if the web form contains only the value "Modified" for field variable "State", it is NOT possible to set State=Approved as described above. However, if I added "Approved" as one of the valid values in the web form, the above step will work. This seems to contradict with the notion that "any form field can be set with URL parameters".

How to implement the aforementioned step and at the same time keep only the value "Modified" in the web form?

Thanks in advance to your gracious help.

Answer

Oops, you are right, this does not work. In the mean time we have a Plugin for that, see ApprovalPlugin.
