Question

The latest WYSIWYG/Kupu appears to convert some whitespace (blank lines) to & nbsp when editing using IE (6 or 7). If I edit a topic using WYSIWYG, enter several lines of whitespace by hitting enter, save, then click Raw View, I see several lines of & nbsp. This doesn't happen with the 2005 version of WYSIWYG, and it doen't happen with with the latest version of Firefox with the latest WYSIWYG.

I'd prefer the saved topic to contain only TWiki Markup.

Is there a way to disable coversion to & nbsp?

Ah, probably, in the guts of Kupu. WysiwygPlugin doesn't insert nbsp's, IIRC. Kupu has a bunch of post-processing hooks that can be used for this sort of thing, though I have never investigated them thoroughly. I'd be interested in any solution you find.
