Question

I am dynamically creating topics and I need to check if they are unique before the user saves the topic. My initial thought is to embed a simple logic statement in the form template based on results from a simple search. My problem, how do I get the number of results into the logical statement? Thanks in advance!

Answer

ALERT! If you answer a question - or someone answered one of your questions - please remember to edit the page and set the status to answered. The status selector is below the edit box.

Not sure if this is what you are looking for, but the ChangeRequest application does generate the next available number based on a SEARCH and some SpreadSheetPlugin CALCs.
