Question

We are planning on upgrading from the 2001 version to Cairo and we've noticed quite a few things that are missing in the newer version. In Cairo, the revision time stamp on pages don't specify GMT. Being a global corp., this could lead to problems.

  1. Does any one know how to keep the GMT tag in the revisions history?
  2. Another problem we have come across is that in the WebChanges/WebIndex pages, the summary is no longer restricted to the 1st column(Topics in X web:), is there any way to fix that?
  3. The last question (for now) is where is the template file for Nonexistant topics? I would like to change the format of that page.

(We are using the classic skin)

Answer

  1. This is inserted by the %REVINFO% tag in view.tmpl. Look at the features to do with time on the CairoRelease topic to see where the changes were made.
  2. Compare the new and old search.tmpl files.
  3. TWiki.WebTopicViewTemplate. You may also want to change the format of TWiki.WebTopicNonWikiTemplate.

On point 1., what I miss in the PatternSkin is the current GMT time in WebChanges to assess how old the newest topic is.
