Question
After installing version 4.0.5 of TWiki and re-loading SimpleBlueSkin the skin variable of %EDITTOPIC% does not render the EDIT button to allow editing of a topic. The menu displays the variable. The EDIT function of the default skin, after loading 4.0.5, worked until I changed my skin to simpleblue. I tried to select another skin until this gets resolved I can't because I cannot edit my site level preferences (or any topic for that matter) since the edit topic variable is not working. If you have a work around for this until this can get resolved that would be great. We really like this skin and hope that you can help. Thank you.

I noticed that it states that the deprecation of %EDITTOPIC%... can you provide me what I need to modify the %EDITTOPIC% with in the twiki.simpleblue.tmpl and view.simpleblue.tmpl template files?

I added the following, in place of %EDITTOPIC%, in twiki.simpleblue.tmpl after the DEF for "actionbartop":
<a href="SCRIPTURLPATH{"edit"}%/%WEB%/%TOPIC%?t=1171155273">Edit
It seems to work... I have not done much extensive testing beyond this. Please let me know if I should not have done this... it is all that made sense after checking "a lot" of topics on this. Do I need to place some type of a request in to the skin developer to do this? Thanks much.

I am closing this topic. It looks as though the change I added to the simpleblue template file has worked. If someone has a recommendation as to why this may pose a problem please let me know.
