Question

Hi all. If you make a page with headings, and more than one heading has the same name, those headings will have the same anchor name. This means that, in a %TOC% section, clicking on any of the duplicated headings will go to the first section.

For example, the links for the "foo" and "bar" headings below are all the same, even though there are three distinct sections for each.

One possible solution would be to add unique suffixes to the anchors for duplicated headings. Not especially elegant, but it would work. :P

I haven't checked, but I'd guess that this is independent of OS, server, browser, etc.

Section 1

foo

bar

Section 2

foo

bar

Section 3

foo

bar

This is a known limitation, aka bug: TocFailsForIdenticalHeadingNames and TocUniqueName.
