Question
I've installed TWiki using the "apt-get" method to get everything installed on an Ubuntu box. I'm able to register (still trying to tweak the e-mail settings, but that's part of this issue I think), create webs, topics, etc. etc., but I can't get the configure interface/script to run and let me in.
I can get the prompt for a username and password to come up, but even thought I enter in my username and password, it won't let me in. I've added my user to the
TWikiAdminUsers group (and I'm currently the only member) and I've even tried my OS username/password, but nothing is working. I've searched high and low and I'm assuming it has something to do with permissions, but I don't know if it's an .htaccess issue or some sort of other issue. Ideas? More Info?

Ok, so I decided to take a different approach and followed the twiki.org directions for installation:
https://twiki.org/cgi-bin/view/TWiki/TWikiInstallationGuide
After getting my .htaccess setup for the configure script, I was all ready to go.
In conclusion: I couldn't get the apt-get method of installation to work, but following the twiki guide lead me to get it going.

May be
CanNotStartConfigure could help, too, since it is a install with debian apt.
