Question

Hi,

I have installed twiki 4.0 and working fine. I have problem with the authentication to view the subwebs. The problem is the authentication window is not shown when I open the sub web.I don`t want authentication( login) window for the main web,I want it for sub webs. I have gone through the Twiki documentation for Access control amd made changes accordingly but still not working.I guess I am missing something. I have added in the .htaccess file as described in documentatino and also set $doRememberRemoteUser = "1"; in Twiki.cfg file and * Set DENYWEBVIEW = accodingly to appropriate group. But still its not working.

Do I need to change anything more..I mean should I add also alongwith ? I tried with this also but it ask authentication for main web..which I don`t want. Authtentication window should come to only subwebs. How can I achieve this. Help is this regard is much appreciated.

Thanks

SandeepJadhav

There seem to be some restrictions on how permissions and subwebs interact - see SubWebsAndPermissions for more details.
