Question
Hi,
We are running TWiki with quite a lot of different webs & sub-webs. We need that number of divisions (and more in the future) for the work we do and the number of products and modules we support.
Problem is, when we run anything that causes TWiki to look across all webs - searches, renaming etc, it chugs along slowly for a while and then produces a premature end of script error.
We are running grep on Windows (NT) which probably doesn't help much, but has anyone else experienced anything like this or have any ideas?
Any additional tech info can be supplied if needed.
Thanks,
Simon

If you answer a question - or someone answered one of your questions - please remember to edit the page and set the status to answered. The status selector is below the edit box.
You can set the apache or perl to not time out so soon. I cannot remember the command but if you search the net, you should find a solution.

Check out
GrepOnWindowsCommandLineOverflow, it could be your problem, it creates zombie Perl processes because your search list overflows the command line under windows.
Good Luck.

P.S. I have been too busy to put the patch in so drop me line if it worked. Thanks.

Hi Breck,
Sorry for the delay in responding, but we've resolved it now. Our tech guy on teh project had a brainwave and fixed the issue (we've also upgraded to a faster machine which seems to have helped a lot. Thanks to you & Steve for the advice. If you're interested in the solution I'll try and get it added later.
