Why Tables For Layout Is Stupid
"Why Tables For Layout Is Stupid" (
http://hotdesign.com/seybold/everything.html
) is a great presentation that outlines why the IRC #css lot think that you should use
PositionalCSS
instead of tables for layout.
To date I understand the argument but still believe that
PositionalCssIsImmatureTechnology
, mostly caused by Internet Explorer's extremely poor implementation of
CSS
.
Until I found the
DebuggingCSS
tools I believed it was too much trouble to make it work, but
InternetExplorerDeveloperToolbar
and Firefox's
WebDeveloperToolbar
make it a bit more palettable.
