What are the core TWiki variables?

By this I mean which variables are essential for TWiki to run at all. The one obvious one: WIKIUSERNAME (or WIKINAME or whichever is the right one).

While many sites may want most or all of the documented TWikiVariables, an important question for development is which variables can't be turned off because TWIki will cease to function.

Discussion

Technically, there are none. It's possible to write an skin that don't use any TWikiVariable, and have content that depends only on TWikiSyntax and plugins.

Now... which tags are needed because they're used in the TWiki web for the distributed documentation is a different thing altogether...

Actually, you hit on one TWikivariable that is not core ;-). %WIKIUSERNAME% is a synonym for %USERINFO{format="$username"}%
